        Gertrude Jekyll grows best in full sun (6+ hours a day) in rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Its rich pink blooms and strong, old rose fragrance are strongest when planted somewhere the scent can be enjoyed up close, such as near a doorway, path, or patio. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering through the season.

      • Prepare an appropriate hole

        Choose a pot that is 1-2 times larger than the current pot, ensuring there is adequent drainage to prevent waterlogging roots. Plan on repotting every 3-5 years.
