Planting Guide
  • Choose the right location

The Alnwick Rose grows best in full sun (6+ hours a day) in rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Its soft pink blooms and medium-strong, old rose with raspberry fragrance are strongest when planted somewhere the scent can be enjoyed up close, such as near a doorway, path, or patio. Deadhead spent blooms to encourage continued flowering through the season.
  • Prepare an appropriate hole

Choose a pot that is 1-2 times larger than the current pot, ensuring there is adequent drainage to prevent waterlogging roots. Plan on repotting every 3-5 years.
  • Plant at the correct depth

Plant at the same depth as in the pot, keeping the top of the root ball level with the soil.
  • Care and watering

Water deeply at base when top few inches dry.
